How To Stop Emotional Reactions When Stressed!
For many this time of year is very stressful, with professional and personal stresses increased. This often results in emotional outbursts or negative reactions. I attended a 2 day intensive workshop (in addition to my extensive readings) on Social and Emotional Intelligence, which was very useful. I am completing a Diploma of Management and Leadership, with great practical 'human' skills, including social and emotional intelligence, to use in law and life. I provide some practical tips for you on how to engage the logical part of the brain (prefrontal cortex) and not allow the emotional part of the brain (limbic system) to take over, particularly when under stress that then can cause reactions rather than responses, which can sabotage what we are wanting to achieve.
