Leadership – How To Have Effective Difficult Conversations.

We engage in difficult conversations daily when there are heightened emotions and differing views - at negotiation, mediation, court, in the office, at home. Do we avoid or embrace the initial discomfort of difficult conversations? Leaders need to be comfortable and skilled at difficult conversations. I provide recommendations for communicating as leaders for current and future success and impact. We can accomplish more together than alone! My contribution at this financially challenging time for many - 50% of my usual day mediation rate to help family lawyers and clients. Comfortable with Uncertainty?

Many are anxious and stressed due to COVID 19 and the uncertainty it brings on a daily basis. Maybe you are anxious about job and financial insecurity, health, life and practice, now and post COVID 19. Lessons learned when diagnosed with breast cancer are shared. Once diagnosed with cancer uncertainty is created from that point onwards. A few life lessons on how to get comfortable with uncertainty now and plan for the future, so that we challenge ourselves and our practices so that we contribute our best to others, now and in an uncertain future, which we have no control over. Lets concentrate on what we do have control over and make that our focus, every day, so we are prepared and performing with excellence, whatever comes our way! My contribution to others at this challenging time - 50% off my day mediation rate for family lawyers and clients. #barrister #advancedtrainedmediator #FDRP #arbitrator #eqcoach #highperformance #leadership #community … [Read more...]

Online Mediation is NOT Mediation Online

Online mediation is a new process, its not just taking face to face mediations and applying the same principles to an online platform. I provide practical suggestions to assist practitioners on how to get the most out of online mediations and secondly, I provide advice on how to cope with the situation we are all faced with now, so that we can perform with excellence, each day. Its a choice. My offer of 50% off my usual day rate still applies, to use my dispute resolution skills, to assist the community and lawyers who are under financial stress and uncertainty.
