Are you anxious, stressed or depressed? Are you now struggling with the challenges you are facing?
Mental health is predicted to be a huge issue going forward, post COVID 19. There is no doubt lawyers are or will be struggling ‘in the shadows’ with depression and/or self medicating with alcohol and illicit drugs, now and in the future.
I provide 3 lessons I have learned (I will continue to share lessons I have learned through experience and education), that have helped me come out of the shadows, overcome depression, and live authentically, with happiness, satisfaction, contentment as the best version of myself, as I seek to make a difference to others.
The struggle to take the first step towards living your life more fully with happiness takes courage and letting go of insecurities. I’ m here to say, it’s worth every effort.
Let’s make mental health a topic that is discussed and accepted without stigma. We can be the role models for others, to make it OK to stand up and say I need help. You can overcome depression and/or self medication and make positive changes to live the life you choose.
